Wedding Day

Agenda

26th July 2025
Villa Ekaterina

We look forward to welcoming your fabulous selves at 17:30 for a drinks and gelato reception.

The ceremony will begin at 18:00, officiated by none other than our dear friend, Viktor Toshev.

We will be doing the photo thing after the ceremony, where the two of us will anchor ourselves by the arch and eternalise these precious memories of all of us looking pretty in our fancy outfits. This will be done in groups so that you can do your own thing otherwise.

After this, we will head to the main tent for a four-course dinner, followed by wedding cake.

There will be sprinkles of other things here and there, but it all culminates in A LOT of dancing, so bring some backup shoes if needed.

The party officially ends at 05:30am, but we will not hold you there against your will should you wish to leave beforehand.

Please review this page closer to the date, as there may be changes to the start timings because, well, weddings.

Dress Code

Late July in Bulgaria is typically hot.

The dress code for our celebration is therefore summer smart casual - we encourage light, breathable fabrics such as linen to help you stay comfortable throughout the day.

Evenings may bring a slight drop in temperature, so it might be a good idea to bring an extra layer, just in case.

Photos

There will be professional photographers and videographers on site, but that has never stopped anyone from still taking their own photos. We would love to be able to share these amongst all the guests, so we will be using POV, a digital disposable camera app.

You do not actually need to download the app, all you have to do is scan the QR code below and start snapping on the day. Do NOT waste these now, lol.

Each guest can take up to 25 "disposable camera” shots through POV, but will not be able to see them until after midday on the 27th. After that, everyone will also be free to add their own photos from their phone to the shared album, so that they’re all in one place and so that we can all enjoy them together :)

How to get there

The venue may look like it’s in the middle of nowhere, but it is 30-50min drive from the city centre, depending on traffic.

Unfortunately, there is no public transport that can easily get you there, and Uber does not exist in Bulgaria, but below are two highly reliable local taxi companies that we would recommend you use. You can download the apps via the links below - both are also available in English.

If you would like to split the journey with someone else, feel free to reach out to us and we can check if there is someone else staying in your area.

There are also limited parking spots at the venue, so you can also drive there yourself if you wish.

Please, do not drink and drive. There is a wonderful “Drink & Drive” service in Sofia which can come and pick you and your car up from the Villa at a set price of 95lev. You can call them at +359 879 66 32 66.

If you need help with finding your way back home, please speak to us or to one of our Bulgarian bridespeople and groomspeople. You will know who they are on the day itself.

Volt is hands down the best taxi service in Bulgaria. It offers a more luxurious experience than your average taxi company: all the drivers wear suits and the vehicles are spacious, comfortable, and lightly scented for a peaceful and pleasant ride. You can book in advance for your peace of mind, and know that the driver will always be there a little early, just in case. They have a fixed price for journeys to and from Villa Ekaterina of 65lev.

Yellow is a highly reliable and widely available taxi service in Bulgaria. It is more affordable than Volt and you can just as easily order one from the app or catch one on the street. The cars are clean and well-maintained, and the drivers know the city and its outskirts like the back of their hand.
